"The Best Chocolate Cake I Ever Had" my 5 year old niece said and I agree totally with her. We ate most of this decadent wonderful moist delicious chocolate cake in the first 5 days. I froze one forth of the cake to eat on my birthday March 17th St Patrick's Day coming up in about two more weeks. I like to put the slice of the cake in the microwave for about 10 seconds before eating it. It makes it so good with a scoop of vanilla icecream on it. I was truly pleasantly surprised when my cake came right side up this time when delivered. The arrows on the box made a difference and my cake was not collapsed and was presentable. Thank you. I will say I missed the plastic bag you used to send to keep it fresh and it was delicious but think it wasn't as chocolaty as I remembered. That could be me but my husband said the same.

This cake is for chocolate lovers! It is really chocolatey! But be aware, if you order it in the middle of a hot summer time, it needs to be cooled before you try to eat it. Because chocolate does melt when the weather is over 95 degrees and lord knows how hot it is in those UPS trucks.

Delicious but Still Deformed

As always-no one reads the label that says lay flat. It's always laying on the side when delivered & therefore squished & oval instead of round. I have suggested before that you put a cylinder in the middle to prevent this & a large label on the box that says this side up. Putting it on the delivery label-does absolutely nothing. It is always delicious regardless but disappointing to see results.

I would like to send you pictures of the OVAL shaped cake I got. All collapsed in the middle -hanging over the circled cardboard. This does not affect the taste (and it is delicious) but it ruined the presentation-therefore company did not see it! I have suggested this before when this happened that a sticker be placed on the box when mailed that says "THIS END UP". It rides around on it's side all day-then delivered on it's side (hence ruined). This can't be a big expense & it may help you present a better looking cake to your customers. I see this has happened to others as I read reviews. It is, was, always is delicious. Thank you!

Very moist & chocolaty cake. Always pleased. Think you still need to put "this side up" on the boxes to hopefully prevent them (UPS) from placing on the side-thus squishing it all on one side. Still good however even if squished but presentation- not so much.

The cake arrived late for my brothers birthday . I sent it 3 day based on the info provided but it sat over the weekend and was deliver on a Monday instead of the Friday before his Valentine's birthday . I know this is a mail problem , not Boston coffee cakes , but one should make a change to the delivery suggestions if you can not get the cake where it needs to go on time . The cake was still good and my brother enjoyed it . I , as the customer , was disappointed that it was late . Because I ordered in advance , I could have sent it ground vs 3 day and it would have arrived the same time ! So think ahead when ordering .

Although the looks do not affect the taste, my cake was all squished to the side. It was placed at my door on the side and probably in the truck like that all day. Think maybe if box was marked "this side up" that would not happen?. Even though it was cracked and squished it was still delicious just not presentable.

A few weeks back, my girlfriend and I had placed two separate orders for one cake per order. It took over a week for either cake to be delivered. A UPS issue NOT a Boston Coffee Cake issue. I advised the office of this and the woman I spoke with was super friendly and very understanding. She explained the issue with UPS and sent out a replacement order which we received in two days. My friend said the chocolate cake was delicious but the UPS did not ring the bell when delivered. She was home. It was quite a while later when she opened the door and saw the box. It was about 90 degrees in NC. She opened the box and the chocolate had melted and the cake was soft. However, she still gives the cake 5 stars.
