I will give the larger coffee cake next time. This one was too small and a little dry. We received a 3 lb. Coffee cake from our financial investor and it was delicious! I liked the cinnamon coffee cake better than the cinnamon walnut, but the 1.5 lb. Coffee cake was too small. Thank you!

Recently a friend brought me some of her Boston coffee cake from an office party. I was immediately hooked and couldn't remember ever having any better coffee cake. So... I was reading a little paperback book, set in Nantucket. The author included several breakfast scenes in which they always had Boston Coffee Cake. Well having been born and raised in Boston I wondered if this was real and if so why I'd never heard of it. I searched, it is real, I ordered a small coffee cake (no walnuts) and though I pride myself on the coffee cake I make. I will no longer bother making my own because The Boston Coffee Cake Company is apparently the Gold Standard. What a fun find!

Purchased The Great One for a friend in CA for Christmas...wasn't sure because of delivery time if the cake would hold up. My friend said it was absolutely perfect. It seems like this order had a problem. It was discovered that the wrong cake was used to fill this order - chocolate instead of the "Great One" that was ordered. 3 of the 11 were corrected by Boston Cakes with AMAZING speed when the error was brought to their attention. The rest of the order mistake wasn't uncovered for several days later. The recipients were happy with the chocolate cake so we didn't ask Boston Coffee Cakes for replacements. This error won't deter us from ordering again next Christmas.

Yum!! Well, that's what my daughter said when she took the first bite! The coffee cake arrived a couple days before Valentine's Day and I told her she could freeze part of it if she and her husband didn't finish it within a few days. She hesitated and, with an "I'm going to have to switch to sweat pants" response, told me it was too late - evidently, it didn't last long at their home! I've been giving and receiving these coffee cakes for years, and they never disappoint, both in flavor and in the smiles they bring to the recipients!

Catalog with prices included with gift

Quality of cake is very good. My only problem is that when you send a gift do you really want a catalog included with all the prices. I for one feel it is not necessary to tell the people you are sending a gift to how much you spent

I took a chance and ordered their most famous "staple" coffee cake (the cinnamon one), and I was really happy I did. It truly was really moist and had lots of cinnamon flavor. It was worth it, and my whole family loved it. I'll reorder for sure.

I use to purchase this cake at Stop & Shop locally. However, it seems for the last year I do not see it on the shelves. So, I found the web site and ordered it....husband loved it (as usual). As long as it's free shipping, I will order from the site. Otherwise, no. Hubby will have to settle for apple pie. :o(

We had enjoyed a coffee cake sent to my parents house for Thanksgiving so I decided to switch and send coffee cakes to family members for Valentine's Day this year instead of flowers and cookies. Since 2 family members are chocolate lovers I chose the triple chocolate coffee cake for them and the great one for the other 2. They were all delighted. They arrived promptly, moist and full of flavor. I will continue to use the coffee cakes on special occasions verses the cookies and flowers I used to send.
