All the cakes here are super delish, but to me, the Lemon Burst is by far the best lemon cake I have tasted. I always have this cake in the house, especially for the holidays! It's a favorite among my whole family! Can't believe someone wrote that the lemon taste should have been stronger. Please don't do that because it would ruin it. The lemon is perfect as is! :)

Fortunately Nothing ever changes with the excellence of Boston Coffee Cakes. I greedily kept the Blizzard and shared a little with my Myrtle Beach neighbors. I have tried for years to find a recipe for the perfect Lemon Coffee Cake. I've boiled down four recipes to one but I must admit it's still missing something and my cake is just adequate and nothing I could serve to guests. One bite of BCC's Lemon Burst Coffee Cake told me to give up trying to find the perfect recipe because they've already acheieved the perfection that alluded me. There is just enough lemon flavor so you can taste it - but not too much. The poppyseeds are present but they don't overwhelm the lemon flavor; they complement it. Each mouthful is equally moist and the cake doesn't dry out if you store it for a couple of days. In short, this cake is the Epitome of the perect Lemon Coffee Cake. I can throw away my recipe. I can never match the perfection that is the Boston Coffee Cake's Lemon Burst Coffee Cake.
