Bought two cakes on 10.4.23 for husband's birthday on 10.14 and my mother's 92nd birthday on 12.22. Put them both in the freezer in the boxes in which they arrived. Bonus comment: the boxes are part of the fun. Defrosted the husband's blueberry coffee cake a couple of days prior to birthday and it was delicious. Moist, lots of blueberries, dense cake. All 3 of us found it to be tasty and just plain fun. When you are turning 67, do you really want another birthday regular cake? Spice it up and get something special.

As a treat we sent my uncle the two pack of cakes and chose Original Cinnamon Walnut and Blueberry. They were delivered two days before he found them but he said they were packaged beautifully and were so awesome he had to share with friends and neighbors over coffee. This way we can freeze one or give it as a gift. Each time I order, the taste, quality and freshness do not disappoint. The Cinnamon Walnut cake is always fresh, has a faint note of lemon, a perfect amount of cinnamon, delicious walnuts and filling that is just the right amount. I have ordered Boston Coffee Cake Minis for friends and family members. They all raved over the taste. I have not been disappointed yet and will continue to order from Boston Coffee Cakes. Not only are the coffee cakes to die for at Boston Coffee Cakes the customer service is beyond outstanding. I had a typo in the address that I noticed after I placed my order. It was already 10:00 PM on the east coast so I emailed their customer service and I also called just in case. I spoke to a wonderful lady who although couldn't see my just-placed order she told me she would email corporate to make sure they fix the mistake in the morning before my order was to be sent out. I received an email in the morning that my typo had been fixed.

I sent your cinnamon walnut coffee cakes to my brother and his wife in Florida as a gift. They loved it so much that they ate one cake up in two days (with ice cream) and put the other cake in the freezer. It was a little too sweet for my brother but not for his wife. My mother used to make a cake like this but with less sugar and pecans instead of walnuts. Not as good as my mother's cake but a good replacement.

Love, love, LOVE that yummy chocolate coffeec cake! --but I wouldn't call it COFFEE cake as it is so delish with a glass of milk or just all by itself. (Try warming it slightly!!!) Such deep chocolate flavor and not over sweet. A perfect bundt cake. ...and it freezes beautifully. I quarter a cake, wrap the sections individually and freeze. We can have an easy and delicious dessert almost anytime.

Of the 7 different orders, all were correct except the one to Fountain Inn, SC. Instead of 2 coffee cakes (as ordered) they received 1 coffee cake and a tin (?) of whoopie pies/cakes. The whole idea behind my Christmas order to family members was to see which of the extra cakes they liked the best. That was achieved. However still disappointed that the order was not correct. However, this is the first mistake in several years by my favorite coffee cake company!

I've been buying coffee cakes from Boston Coffee Cakes for over 10 years - some for our family, more as gifts. They are the best coffee cakes made anywhere! Seems my last purchase of two 1-1/2 pound cakes meant as a gift to our local Humane Society met with some hungry raccoons while in the possession of the carrier. When I found out what happened, I reached out to the Customer Service group for some help in this highly unusual situation. They didn't bat an eye - a replacement order was shipped out the same day and my gift arrived two days later. Now that's what I call GREAT SERVICE. As always, the recipients loved the cakes. When they called to thank me they said the Cinnamon Walnut coffee cake was almost completely gone on Christmas morning, being eaten by and loved by both adults and children. The Carmel Apple Coffee Cake looked excellent and was going to be served the next morning. The intention of the gift of two coffee cakes was to provide a breakfast accompaniment for Christmas morning and for the following mornings until New Years. I had no idea that both cakes would be devoured within three days. At least they loved the gift.

We have received 3 lb. bundt cakes from our financial advisor for several years now. Finally decided that we would share this awesome product with our family and friends. I ordered the two bundt cake combo for my sister's 70th birthday. I knew that they would find them as awesome as we have. There was only one glitch, only one of the cakes arrived in time for her birthday. A quick email to Customer Service resulted in the second cake being delivered within 3 days!! No muss, no fuss...... just great customer service for awesome products. A week later, I ordered the mini bundts for my son's birthday. We definitely will be returning to order in the future. I ordered the caramel apple as a gift and received rave reviews! The original cinnamon walnut was ordered for our family Christmas. I have been giving them as gifts for years, but had never seen or tasted them. My first reaction was for a pound and a half, it seemed smaller than I thought it would be, but it delivered! There was some left, and it was very good. It had lots of cinnamon and flavor for the the amount of cake. There was never a bite that felt like it was, too, much cake and no flavor. Very impressed. They arrived exactly as predicted with no delays even with the predicted slower ship times due to the pandemic.

I don't know if it was sent on 12/17/20 as I requested, and I never got confirmation that it was delivered. I do not understand why you do not provide tracking information for these online orders. I've been buying Boston Coffee Cake every holiday season for the last few years. This year was the best experience yet. The order options and the website improved and costs remain reasonable. This year we sampled the caramel apple, blueberry, and the traditional cinnamon walnut coffee cakes. All 3 were shipped and delivered on time and all 3 were moist and delicious and able to be conveniently stored in the leftovers bag included with each cake. I expected success to lead to short cuts (and COVID to lead to shortages and delays) but Boston Coffee Cake just keeps getting better and better.

Sent an email and the following Monday received a reply that a replacement cake would be shipped which it was. The taste of the cake was very good, but a far cry from the picture of the cinnamon walnut coffee cake. Hardly any cinnamon sugar or walnuts on the top and a very small swirl inside. The Carmel Apple was better with the Apple baked inside and a drizzle oof Carmel on top. That said cake was very good, just disappointed not as pictured.

I recently sent "2 Gourmet Coffee Cakes" as a Special way of thanking neighbors who have been most thoughtful of my 90-year-old mother throughout this difficult "shelter in place/pandemic time." So delicious!!! I have had the Triple Chocolate and Cinnamon Walnut and both are fantastic. If you're a chocolate fan, the Triple Chocolate is melt-in-your mouth AMAZING! I received a Triple Chocolate as a "Happy Quarantine" care package during Coronavirus/COVID-19 stay-at-home orders. I quickly turned around and paid it forward by sending a two-pack to my mom for her "Happy Quarantine" care package. If you want to make someone's day, these cakes are sure to do it! It takes a good week from when you order which is longer than I would have liked but well worth the wait, just plan accordingly.

Sent the Apple Carmel to my Aunt for her 86th birthday. She seemed to really like it. So when the two cakes came on sale I thought, why not give them a try? I wasn't expecting much - it's just a coffee cake, right? I'm really not all that fond of coffee cake anyway as they are generally somewhat hard, dry and overly sweet. Words fail to adequately describe Boston Coffee Cake products, but I'll just quote my husband, "They are so good, they should be illegal!" Moist and totally scrumptious, they seem to "disappear" shortly after opening the box. Great service by a company who obviously takes pride in their work (they even include a plastic bag to store any leftovers -- like THAT is going to happen!), their cakes arrive in terrific condition protected by an insert in the box to prevent any damage in transit. A coffeecake recipe that rivals my grandmother's and that I never hoped to enjoy again. A pleasure to do business with, and I look forward to a long and happy association!

Both cakes are very good. The cinnamon/walnut has much less filling than the pictures indicated, but it tastes fine. We think both cakes benefit from a little bit of heating and a little bit of butter. This is just what I was looking for. I absolutely LOVE the original coffee cake and keep ordering that over and over. I found that the Applicious has the coffee cake I want with a hint of apples - perfect. I just ordered the 3 lb Applicious. I love all the cakes but this is the only other one I've found that starts with the original coffee cake. Glad they have combos so I could keep having the original while trying other flavors.

I ordered my brother Russ the coffee cakes for his birthday and did not know he was out of town for a wedding. The delivery was made on Monday, but due to bad weather, the family did not return until Tuesday evening. The items were defrosted and had to be eaten immediately. I was a bit disappointed but since this was due to unforeseen circumstances, it was not anyone's fault.

We ordered two coffee cakes one for the family and one for us at home. Did not expect the coffee cake to be such a big hit with the family.We were going to freeze the 2nd coffe cake for later. When we opened it after eight days of delivery it was just as good. We kept it on the shelf in the original package and it tasted great the next three evenings. Looking to order again for next Christmas, however, we will include Easter, when family is together again and will send them as gifts. We were very pleased.

As far as taste was concerned both were excellent. However the Blueberry fell apart upon slicing. This could be caused by the added moisture of the Blueberries in the batter or simply a one time thing for this particular batch. Fortunately this did not affect the flavor.

I ordered the cakes for my mother in law, who absolutley loves them, I ordered the original cinnamon coffee cake and the pumpkin cake- the cinnamon cake was excellent, but the pumpkin cake was dry. She called the company and is waiting on her new pumpkin cake to arrive. The customer service was excellent. This is the only problem that I have ever had- She absolutely loves their cakes!
