About Chef Mitch
Chef Mitch is our own Mitch Forman. Mitch’s first love has always been as a chef. He has worked in the kitchens of the Parker House, The Ritz, and the team that opened Le Meridian in Boston, Ma. Mitch then went across the country to San Francisco. While there he worked under the tutelage of Jeromiah Tower, at Stars, and was involved with the emerging new American culinary trends. Today, he wears many hats – husband, father and chef for family and friends.
French Toast, The Boston Coffee Cake way
WOW your friends and family with a delicious and flavorful new way to enjoy French Toast. Use our award winning Original Cinnamon Walnut Coffee Cake to add pizzazz to your next brunch, breakfast, or even light dinner.

Ingredients
  • Large Cinnamon Walnut Coffee Cake -1
  • ¼ cup milk
  • Eggs – 4
  • Butter for skillet
  • Confectioner’s Sugar (optional)
  • Maple syrup
  • Fresh Fruits
Instructions
Beat eggs and milk together in shallow bowl. Melt butter over medium heat in skillet. Slice frozen coffee cake into 1 ½ inch pieces (slices will thaw upon cooking), dip each slice into eggs. Cook until golden brown then turn to brown the other side. Sprinkle with confectioner’s sugar and top with fresh fruit. Serve with maple syrup.

Reminder:
Only slice as much of the cake as you will need for your meal. The remainder can be bagged and frozen to be enjoyed at a later time.
